"海角直播 was a great foundation for Loma Linda University," said Rayna Zaragoza, a 4th year nursing student at LLU and the CHC 2013 Commencement speaker. "It has the best caliber of teachers."

That was just one of the comments from past allied health students who came back to 海角直播 to speak to Dr. Truong鈥檚 ANAT 101 (Anatomy & Physiology I) class last month.

The class listened eagerly to the nine CHC alumni who came to share their experience moving on to 4-year institutions.

鈥淜eep your notes鈥 from 海角直播 because you鈥檒l need them as you move on.

            鈥淭ake a research class now.鈥

            鈥淟isten to Dr. Truong.鈥

鈥淏e prepared to get lower grades.鈥

The students all talked about the challenges and hard work required, but they felt they were better prepared than students from other institutions because of the rigorous classes at 海角直播. 鈥淵ou won鈥檛 get the 4.0 you鈥檙e used to,鈥 said Zaragoza, 鈥渂ut you can succeed.鈥

They shared how important the clinical classes are. 鈥淐linicals lead to jobs,鈥 said Johan Jang, a third year nursing student at Loma Linda. 鈥淯se them to make connections, network and volunteer.鈥

鈥淎nd have an open mind,鈥 said Eric Bartlett, a respiratory technician. 鈥淵our career focus might change after clinicals.鈥

All of the students said there isn鈥檛 much time for anything but class and studying, but 鈥測ou need to balance your study time,鈥 said Br茅Anna Robinson, a 2nd year nursing student at LLU. 鈥淚f you study all the time you won鈥檛 absorb the information. You need personal time as well.鈥

The alumni stayed after their talk for lunch and more questions from the ANAT 101 class.
