Trunk or Treat

On Friday, October 29, the 2021/2022 Student Senate co-sponsored a Halloween themed "Trunk or Treat" celebration for the families and children served by the Redlands Family Services Association. Children wore costumes provided by Redlands Family Services and were treated to a "carnival like" experience.

In October, 海角直播 (CHC) student leaders attended the annual summit conference of the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU). Attendees met and shared ideas about promising practices in the education of Hispanic and Latinx students and opportunities in furthering their education and finding rewarding employment.

On Wednesday, November 17, Serrano Tribal Citizen Keely Marquez facilitated an online session about the Serrano Indians and their history in the Yucaipa region. The 海角直播 Hills area of Yucaipa is known as Waa't in the Serrano Indian Language, which means juniper or where the juniper trees grow, according to tribal elders.

The 海角直播 Theatre Department presented three showings of The Apocalypse Project on November 4, 5, and 6.The play, written by Briandaniel Oglesby, is set in 2024 and follows a group of young adults who explore climate change, social change, coming-of-age, immigration, and the navigation of a world destroyed by previous generations.
