The Sand Canyon Review Art and Literary Magazine

The Sand Canyon Review is back for its 2026 issue, themed 鈥淭ies That Bind.鈥 Here at the SCR, we aspire to create a literary and art magazine that is a collection of diverse voices from all walks of life. We strive to nurture the creative souls of our community and give artists an opportunity to be published and give light to their work.
Lifeline, leash, tether, or chain鈥攚hat are the ties that bind us? From the connections with friends, family, and community that sustain us, to the shackles of oppression, silence, and fear that restrain us, often we exist in the delicate place between the belonging that gives us life and the autonomy that gives us purpose. This year, we are looking for art and literature that examines the spectrum of human connection, whether it is a promise that moors or an obligation that stifles. Show us the revolutionary power of belonging and struggle for liberation.
