The Disability Rights Legal Center has two locations in Los Angeles and LaVerne, California. Primarily, they act as advocates for people with disabilities in work settings and try to eliminate legal barriers that keep disabled individuals in poverty. They also educate individuals on their rights and they will often give free legal representation for disabled individuals.
Non-profit organization that educates and empowers low income adults with developmental disabilities to achieve goals and reach their potential. Services offered include banking, budgeting, money management, computer and writing skills, resumes and interviews, nutrition and exercise, and personal responsibility. Job development, integrated employment, independent living services, micro-enterprise, services for individuals on the autism spectrum and adult aging. Mercy House is located in Ontario, CA with general headquarters in Santa Ana, CA. Their goal is to provide housing and supportive services for individuals in need. Examples of programs they offer include Assisi House (transitional housing), Guadalupe Residence (affordable permanent housing), Trinity House (transitional shelter), and Ontario Temporary Homeless Services Area, which are all located in the Inland Empire.
