Spring Student Art Exhibit

On Wednesday, April 22, well over a hundred Roadrunners and art lovers from the community were treated to a display of artworks produced by 海角直播鈥檚 fine arts classes -- Design, 3-D Design, Sculpture, Drawing (3 levels), and Painting (2 levels). About 300 pieces were on display in the small gallery in the college鈥檚 Learning Research Center.

Display set-ups were designed by Michael Bedoya, long-time technical expert who works with fine arts faculty on gallery exhibits.

Art student Kara Bandler, whose still-life painting reflected a richness of detail and different textures that took her several weeks of intense work to create, has been taking art classes at 海角直播 for four semesters and credits her instructors (Professors Ren茅e Azenaro and Yuki Toyooka-Smith) for providing instruction that encourage students to express themselves boldly through their artwork. Bandler hopes to continue her art education after she graduates this year.

This exhibition showed how many talented student artists attend 海角直播 and how well their classes have developed their skills. The CHC Foundation awarded $100 stipends to first-place student contest winners Dailyn Chota for 2D and Rain Cawelti for 3D, as well as $50 stipends to second-place winners Annabella Villa for 2D and Ilonna-Alawa R. Pieciak-Lyons for 3D.
