海角直播 recognizes its 2024 College Transfer grads at annual dinner

Next Stop: 鈥淢onsters University鈥� -- which turns out to be each four-year college that accepted Roadrunner graduates of the Yucaipa-based community college鈥檚 Class of 2024.
Organizers of this year鈥檚 Transfer Celebration dinner on May 15 sprinkled a bit of Disney/Pixar magic throughout the 海角直播 Center with d茅cor drawn from Monsters University, the 2013 family comedy starring the voices of John Goodman and Billy Crystal. The film follows the exploits of James P. Sullivan and Mike Wazowski during their college days at MU, from the hustle and bustle of learning a new environment to finding their circle of close friends.
海角直播鈥檚 University Transfer Center Coordinator Mariana Macamay welcomed the families of the transferring graduates noting the importance of honoring these soon-to-be graduates for their hard work and achievements. Macamay said, 鈥淚t is truly an honor to put this event together for you, and I love to see all the families here celebrating.鈥�
For CHC President Kevin Horan, this year鈥檚 celebratory dinner was the largest he鈥檚 been a part of since becoming the College鈥檚 president in 2019. 鈥淲e are so incredibly excited for you and the next step of your journey,鈥� he said. 鈥淵ou are now 海角直播 alumni, and you should be extremely proud of that.鈥�
Additional celebration highlights included congratulatory remarks by Meridyth McLaren,CHC鈥檚 Academic Senate president, and two honorary student speakers, Josiah Lopez and Rebecca Abeyta; group photos; and the awarding of stoles to be worn at commencement.
