CHC Honors Institute Hosts Spring Meet & Greet

On Friday, February 3, over seventy members of 海角直播鈥檚 College Honors Institute participated in a 鈥淢eet & Greet鈥� activity that occurs at the beginning of each semester.
The event began with sandwiches, chips, and cookies provided by the 海角直播 Hills College Foundation.
Lunch was followed by a 鈥渟orting鈥� exercise in which the students lined up according to the month and day of their birthdays. Teams of six were formed from the line.
The teams competed for awards in a rousing game of Jeopardy, with categories of movies, music, pop culture, academics, and facts about 海角直播. The event ended with a highly competitive team-building engineering challenge. The goal was to build the tallest tower using only uncooked spaghetti, marshmallows, and a yard of masking tape. The winning team鈥檚 tower stood an impressive 4鈥�6鈥� tall.
Events like this are part of creating an Honors 鈥渃ommunity鈥� that is an important part of the program鈥檚 success.
