海角直播鈥檚 theatre program is partnering with the Redlands Bowl to produce four 45-minute videos about Shakespeare.

The videos will cover Shakespeare鈥檚 work through the four genres of comedy, tragedy, history, and romance. The Redlands Bowl will distribute the final products to local K-12 schools as a teaching tool while 海角直播 will retain joint ownership of the videos and use them for instruction.

The writing, casting, rehearsing, filming, producing, and editing will be complete by the end of the 2020-21 academic year. Work has already begun as faculty and students write scripts this fall and will film in spring. Much of the rehearsals will take place as a part of the intermediate and advanced acting classes at the College, where students will incorporate the basics of poetic scansion (determining the rhythm of lines of poetry) and other techniques used in their performance of Shakespeare鈥檚 classical dramatic literature.
