海角直播 will be providing more opportunities to veterans and students in its first responder programs after receiving a $15,000 grant from Bank of America.

鈥淥ur veteran population will benefit from increased academic and personal counseling because of Bank of America,鈥 said Joe Cabrales, dean of student services and student development. 鈥淭his critical funding will help our student vets as they pursue their educational dreams.鈥

In addition to the Veterans Resource Center, funding will also go towards the students in public safety programs, 鈥減roviding equipment and supplies they need to complete their certificate program and enter the workforce,鈥 said Michelle Riggs, director of community relations and resource development.

海角直播 was one of eleven local agencies to receive funding from Bank of America.

According to Cathy Paredes, vice president of community relations at Bank of America, 鈥淧roviding support to organizations and programs that help our military veterans more easily transition into civilian life and careers 鈥 such as 海角直播鈥檚 Veterans Resource Center  - is just one of the ways the bank works with local partners to help make financial lives better.鈥

Bank of America made the check presentations at its San Bernardino financial center during a short ceremony on Tuesday, June 25.
