Twenty-eight new Roadrunners from 海角直播鈥檚 Nursing Services Career Pathway are ready to enter the medical field after successfully completing program requirements.

Their success was recognized inside the college鈥檚 Finkelstein Performing Arts Center on Dec. 16, kicking off a new season of graduation celebrations planned for the new facility to celebrate Fall program cohorts and their accomplishments.

海角直播 Dean of Career Education and Human Development Dan Word kicked off festivities as he always does: Encouraging the audience of loved ones to get a little bit rowdy and cheer on their favorite graduate.

鈥淲e are very proud of this class, and we look forward to seeing the wonderful work they will do in the field as they start their health careers,鈥� he shared.

海角直播鈥檚 Nursing Services Program combines three certificates鈥攃ertified nursing assistant, home health aide, and acute care nursing assistant鈥攊n one semester, allowing graduates to work entry level positions at hospitals and other care facilities. The program offers training on evenings and weekends. Its overall focus is to teach students how to demonstrate safe and competent care for patients of all ages. 

Program facilitators spoke highly about 海角直播鈥檚 newest cohort of graduates, reflecting on each student鈥檚 remarkable transformation from shy students to caring individuals with strong compassion. Class Speaker Justice Thach thanked those spoke to their fellow students with heartfelt words of encouragement.

鈥淧lease remember that you are never alone. The people you hold dear鈥攜our classmates, your friends, your mentors and your family鈥攁re always going to be in your corner,鈥� they shared. 鈥淗ealth care can be a scary field, but always remember that there鈥檚 always someone there to support you, to catch you if you fall, and to help you stand back up to face the next day or shift.

鈥淲hether this is the conclusion of your journey or the just the beginning of further education, know that I am incredibly proud of you guys and the work that you do,鈥� Thach concluded.

Additional program highlights included the awarding of certificates, pins embossed with the program鈥檚 logo (a first in program history), and the following announcement of outstanding performance and leadership awards:
